Learn More About the Audi Q7

For 2021, the Audi Q7 has had a few updates.  Blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alerts are now standard across the lineup. Premium trim level's Convenience package includes a 360-degree camera system and heated steering.

The Premium Plus gets an Executive package. This package bundles the 2020 model's warm weather, cold weather, and driver-assist aide together.

Prestige levels also include a few new features. They include the center console and the leather-wrapped armrest, and standard heated back seats.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

For this year, Audi offers 2021 with three powertrains. Each of these engines features a standard slick-shifting 8-speed automatic.

The first option is a turbo 4-cylinder for the lower trims. It generates 248 horses and a torque of 273 lb-ft. The upper trims (Premium & Premium Plus) include a mild-hybrid system of 48 volts. This standard V6 increases this power to 335 horses and 369 lb-ft in the Prestige model. The top-speck SQ7 takes pride in a 500-hp twin-turbo V8.

The entry-level turbo 4-engine could be enough for most shoppers. However, if you are thirsty for power, you can upgrade to 336-hp V6. This setup has enough power. Hence, you can drive at high speeds with confidence. The most potent V8 enables the SQ7 to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

The base Q7 models achieve 19/23 miles per gallon on city/highway. Q7 trim levels featuring the V6 powertrain return 18/23 mpg. The SQ7 trim brings these figures down to 15/21 miles per gallon on the city/highway.

Overall, the 2021 Q7 is comfortable to drive. An available and excellent air suspension adds further comfort to this car. All-wheel steering in the Prestige model enables it to maneuver rough road conditions with ease. Plus, this steering system is precise at higher speeds. Quattro AWD comes standard. You are sure to love driving this new car if you come from Nicholasville or Richmond.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

As mentioned before, the three-seater crossover SUV carries seven passengers. Occupants up front will enjoy leather upholstery and power-adjustable seats.

Power-folding 3rd-row seats come standard too. There are several upgrades available. They include massaging seats up front, heated 2nd-row seats, heated steering, an Alcantara headliner, and more.

The front seats are most comfortable for adult passengers. Rear seats will only carry adults on short trips. Thus, these seats are fit for children.

Additionally, the new Q7 comes with enough LATCH connectors for Child Car Seats. There are three for the second-row and two for the 3rd-row outboard seats. This system is easy to use, receiving the highest rating from the IIHS.

This Audi Q7 has a cargo space of 14.2 cubes behind the 3rd-row seats. When you fold-flat the rear seats, this space increases to 35.4 cubic feet. Also, you can fold down both the 2nd and 3rd-row seats, creating 69.6 cubic feet. These totals are enough for this full-size crossover.
